Hi, I’m Hanna Pedersen
I’m a product designer based in Boston MA. I’m passionate about using the power of design to create a more connected, curious, and compassionate world.
Understanding people - how we think, interact, and connect - has always been my greatest motivator. After studying psychology in college, I spent several years working at the Camden Coalition, a nonprofit working to improve care systems for individuals with complex health and social needs. We employed principles of human-centered design to reimagine what care would look like if it were designed around the person receiving it - simplifying the complexities of healthcare to make it more relevant, supportive, and personal, and forging unlikely collaborations between sectors to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
This experience sparked a broader interest in applying principles of human-centered design in other contexts, and made me eager to combine the power of technology and thoughtful design to drive meaningful impact. In my current role leading product design in the workflow automation software space, I bring the same approach to simplifying complex experiences by amplifying the user’s voice, and partnering cross functionally to drive better outcomes.
I’m excited by any opportunity to create experiences that allow people to engage with complexity with ease, and facilitate connection at scale.
Outside of work, you can find me curiously stumbling into a new hobby - rock climbing, pottery, playing guitar, traveling to a new city to visit a loved one, or sharing a beer with a friend.
